What to do following an Auto Accident:

Information you will need

When you contact your company to file a claim, make sure to provide the following details:

  1. Your full name and policy number.

  2. The start and end date of your policy.

  3. Date and time of the incident.

  4. Names, addresses, and phone numbers of all drivers, passengers, and witnesses.

  5. Driver's license and license plate numbers for all drivers.

Your insurance company might also require you to complete a sworn statement that details the events of the accident (i.e. weather conditions, time of day or night that the incident occurred, etc.). Make sure also that you note any personal harm you notice and take photos of the damage.
